In 2002, our current MD, Jon, took the brave decision to start GE, having worked in the golf and travel industries for 21 years including such blue-chip Companies as Hogg Robinson, American Airlines and Forte Hotels. He was joined by a previous colleague, Vikki Giles, as soon the Company started operating in October of that year. Soon after that, PGA Professional Mike Bryant joined the team and the Company has gone from strength to strength from that time and we now send in excess of 10,000 golfers away every year on tailor-made golfing holidays around the world, and we are adding new destinations to our portfolio all the time. As the Company grew, we also took on board two sister companies along the way – Signature Safaris (bespoke safaris in Central and Southern Africa) and Southern Sounds (which offer jazz tours to New Orleans).
